Facial Trauma

Facial injuries most commonly result from sporting injuries, falls, motor vehicle accidents or interpersonal violence. They may involve both the bones and soft tissues of the face.

The common facial bone fractures that we treat include:

  • Mandible (lower jaw)
  • Maxilla (upper jaw)
  • Nose
  • Zygoma (cheekbone)
  • Orbit (eye socket)
  • Frontal sinus (forehead)
  • Dental and dentoalveolar trauma (teeth and supporting bone)

Dr Deane and Dr Kim are recognised experts in the management of severe facial trauma, as well as the reconstruction of post-traumatic facial deformity. They will clearly explain the nature of your injuries and any surgery that may be required to treat them.
